Last Fishing Trip Out!

The sky is clear,

No wind in sight

Let’s go get a fish to Bite!

Off we go to a new halibut spot. It is a long trip out past Fire Island to where we were told that the big halibut is. After several spots that were unsuccessful Pat gets one. Now this one isn’t getting away very easy. It was hooked on both ends. Takes a lot of practice to do that!

It is a nice 15 pound baby halibut. lol

We drift over the same spot again and BOOM~!~!~!
I get one on. It is a nice 27 pounder.

 

This is a nice way to end our summer fishing season. We filet up the bigger one and package it and the 15 pound one we trade for some salmon to smoke.
